Luz no Bolso: the energy comparison where AI reads your electricity bill for you
They asked for a chat. We delivered a platform: a community solar comparison with its own ranking, state and city pages that show up on Google, a management panel and EDI, an AI salesperson that understands an electricity bill from a photo.

The starting point
Community solar subscriptions (distributed generation, in Brazilian regulation) let people pay less for electricity without installing anything. But consumers do not know it exists, do not know which company serves their city and distrust discounts that look too good.
The original idea was a lead-capture chatbot for one partner solar farm. During discovery it became clear the problem was bigger: there was no trustworthy place to compare companies, explain the regulation and take the person from interest to a complete sign-up, with bill and ID in hand.
A comparison with its own ranking
Each company has a discount, a lock-in period, who can sign up (individuals or businesses), minimum bill, state coverage and years in the market. Luz no Bolso turns this into a 0 to 100 rating with public weights and ranks offers by city. Visitors filter by no lock-in, own solar farm or first-month bonus.
Company records live in the panel, so the team adds a new company or adjusts discount, commission and notification email without touching code. In October 2026 the comparison grew from 11 to 75 companies.

EDI, the AI that reads electricity bills
EDI is a sales AI agent. The person says where they live and how much they pay, or simply sends a photo of the electricity bill. EDI reads the bill with computer vision, understands consumption and utility, explains the charges, calculates the monthly savings and points to the companies that serve that region.
Then it completes the sign-up within the conversation. A business rule protects the operation: the lead is only sent to the energy company when the conversation has the bill and an ID attached. Before that rule, most contacts arrived incomplete and created rework for the solar farm.

A page for every state and capital
People looking for a discount on their electricity bill search by city. That is why every state and capital has its own page, with the companies that serve it, the local utility and that region's questions. There are 54 local pages, and many already appear on Google's first page in capitals such as Maceió, Salvador and Vitória.
The blog adds city guides, and every page leads to the comparison and to EDI.

Panel, CRM and three brands on one engine
Behind the website there is a panel with company records, a kanban lead CRM, EDI conversations, an affiliate program (referrers earn credit) and control of solar farm removal requests.
The same engine powers three brands: Luz no Bolso, a landing page dedicated to a partner solar farm in Minas Gerais and EDI Energia. Each has its own domain, identity and tone of voice, but they share database, panel and AI.
What Luz no Bolso shows
The project proves what OnWeb calls the generative layer: AI reads a real document (the bill), cross-checks it with a proprietary database (the energy companies) and runs a sales process to the end, with business rules that protect the operation.
Luz no Bolso is part of the Google for Startups program and keeps evolving, with OnWeb responsible for the platform's SEO, technology and AI.

Frequently asked questions
How does the AI read the electricity bill?
EDI receives a photo or PDF of the bill and uses a vision-capable AI model to extract utility, consumption and amounts. With that it calculates the savings and points to the companies serving that region.
Can my business have an AI sales agent like EDI?
Yes. The same design (read a customer document, cross it with your data and drive the sale) works for insurance, credit, healthcare and any operation with personalized proposals. See AI agents.
